An open map of public construction bids
OpenBidMap gathers public construction bids from federal (SAM.gov), state DOT, city, county, school and other public sources into one free board, and pulls out the facts an estimator checks first (scope, quantities, bond, licensing, pre-bid, due time) so you can decide to chase or pass in a minute.
Who's behind it
OpenBidMap was built by a licensed civil engineer and people who have worked in construction: equipment, field work, fabrication and estimating. We built the tool we wanted: one place to see what's out for bid, organized the way bidders actually sort work.
What we are, and aren't
- We're a listing and search service for public bid notices. We are not the owner, engineer, plan room or bid agent for any project, and we don't accept bids.
- Nothing on OpenBidMap is engineering, legal or bidding advice. We don't do takeoffs, cost estimates, design or consulting through this site.
- Facts on bid pages are machine-extracted from the public notice and labeled that way. No person reviews each one. Bid info comes from public agency notices. Always confirm with the issuing agency.
Coverage and what's next
Federal construction notices in all 50 states and DC, state and local sources in a growing list of states, then Canada and Mexico. See coverage and roadmap and our sources.
How we collect data
We read public bid pages and data feeds, follow each site's robots.txt, wait between requests, and link to official plan rooms instead of copying their documents. Agencies can ask for a correction or removal through our feedback form.
