Terms of Use

Effective November 1, 2026 · Last updated November 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and OpenBidMap (“OpenBidMap”, “we”, “us”), which operates openbidmap.com (the “Service”) and can be reached by mail at OpenBidMap, PO Box 767, Elkins, AR 72727. By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

The Service is meant for businesses and professionals looking for public bid opportunities. You must be at least 18 years old. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

2. What the Service is

OpenBidMap compiles bid notices that public agencies have published (for example on SAM.gov, state DOT, city, county and school district sites), adds search, filters and machine-extracted facts, and links to the official notice. We are not the owner, engineer, plan room or bid agent for any project, and we don't accept or submit bids. See our Sources.

3. Accuracy: always confirm with the issuing agency

Listings, dates, flags and extracted facts are gathered and processed automatically and can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. “Not stated” only means we didn't find it in the text we could read. We don't guarantee that every bid in an area is listed. Before acting on any bid, confirm every detail (due date and time, location, bond, licensing, pre-bid, addenda and documents) with the issuing agency and the official bid documents. Missed addenda, deadlines and requirements are your responsibility.

4. No professional advice

Nothing on the Service is engineering, legal, estimating, financial or bidding advice, and using the Service creates no professional or client relationship of any kind.

5. Third-party sites

The Service links to agency websites, plan rooms and other third-party sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability, fees or terms.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for your own business's bid research, including exporting results for internal use. You may not: (a) scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service, or use bots to access it, except for normal search-engine indexing; (b) resell, republish or redistribute our compiled data or extracted facts in bulk, or use them to build a competing service; (c) get around rate limits, security or access controls; (d) submit spam, malware or false information through our forms; or (e) use the Service for anything unlawful. Public notices themselves remain public; this section covers our compilation and work.

7. Early access

Joining early access or a waitlist is free. We collect no payment information and charge nothing. During early access, confirmed free sign-ups get the daily matched alert email at no charge. We may later move free accounts to a weekly digest; we'll email you before that happens, and you're never charged unless you choose a paid plan at checkout. Early access doesn't guarantee that a feature, price or plan will launch, or when.

8. Paid subscriptions (apply only once paid plans launch)

No paid plans are on sale today. When they launch: prices and plan details will be shown before you buy; payments will be handled by our payment processor (we won't see or store your full card number); subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel; you can cancel any time, effective at the end of the current paid period, and keep access until then; and refunds will follow the refund policy shown at checkout, except where the law requires otherwise. We'll give notice before changing the price of an active subscription.

9. Our content

The site design, software, compilation, extracted facts and text we write belong to OpenBidMap. Agency notices and documents belong to their publishers or are public records. Names of agencies identify the source and don't imply endorsement.

10. Your submissions

If you send feedback or ideas, you let us use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you. Don't send anything confidential.

11. Copyright (DMCA), takedowns and agency corrections

If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice through our feedback form (include your email so we can reply) with: your contact information; the work you claim is infringed; the URL of the material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you're authorized to act; and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove the material and, where appropriate, end repeat infringers' access. Agencies and publishers can request a correction or removal of a listing the same way; we aim to respond within 5 business days.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY ALERT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR DELIVERED ON TIME.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, OPENBIDMAP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST BIDS, CONTRACTS, PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND (B) US $100. Some places don't allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. Indemnity

If you misuse the Service or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.

15. Ending access

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the Service, and we may change or discontinue features.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, post a notice on the site (and email subscribers once paid plans exist). Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

18. Contact

Questions about these terms: our feedback form (include your email so we can reply). By mail: OpenBidMap, PO Box 767, Elkins, AR 72727.
